Oklahoma is Red Indian Country so we visited Cherokee Trading post near Clinton.
Stopped for lunch at recommended Jerry spot (our fab 66 book guide who sometimes causes a bit of bickering between Tris and I) As most of his recommendations they are dodgy from the outside but so American and friendly inside so another lunch of high calories and teeth rotting drinks although the fries were homemade. Dairy Best...didn't find out what "broasted" chicken is!
Today we saw a few towns that have been effected by the re-routing of Route 66. Much of the time we drive alongside the interstate on the true road which is made from concrete slabs with more bumps than my thighs and you can see how many towns it misses out.
Ok so I'm a secret Garth Brooks fan...I know but I did get a teeny weeny bit excited when I found out we were driving through his home town!!!
Also I have a thing for cowboys always have..it's the manliness, the boots, the jeans, the hats and of course the horses so when I heard second hand, that there was a rodeo on tonight I also got a teeny weeny bit excited so we took a de-tour along a straight road through amazing scenery to Pampa to find out it wasn't on...I was guttered.
This pic is for Ella of dad drinking a strawberry ice cone we found out it was a Granizado!
Get a little excited when you put a new post on lol. Keep them coming!!!
