Day 3 Springfield (MO) to Oklahoma City

Another long day ahead a big one well over 300 miles.  Starting after a great night, not getting up until after 7.30 this morning so moving into US time.  Breakfast consisting of plastic cutlery and disposable plates again but was okay even though they ran out of semi skimmed milk.  Poor.  On the plus there was tea!!!!!

Today was through 3 states, out of Missouri through Kansas and into Oklahoma.

Kansas was the home of Cars where much of the popular youth culture film was based on...And there was me thinking it was home to Dorothy and Toto! (Heidi) 

We headed on to a recommended lunch stop.  Had the sort of guy who reminded you of the bug in MIB.  But friendly enough.  It was frequented by Bonnie and Clyde.

We have seen weird and wonderful sites so far and this is one of my favourites...OK Shoe Tree in Shoe Tree loop. The old tree recently fell so a new one has taken over. Unfortunately we had no shoes to hang....I'm a woman and need all mine and Tris being a bloke only has the pair on his feet!!

Since I navigate I thought it would be fun to take the Ozark Trail option...it's the slowest he has driven and he was soooo precious about his car don't know why!!

The landscape is changing and tomorrow we are heading into Texas where the ranches will be getting bigger than the ones we've seen.
